Policies & FAQ
What areas do you work in?
I walk dogs in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles, specifically zip codes 91403 and 91423. If you’re slightly outside my service area feel free to contact me anyway! Maybe we can work something out.
How do I let you into my home to walk my dog?
You will need to either provide me with my own copy of the keys or leave the keys in a lock box on the property and give me the code.
Do you walk dogs from multiple clients at once?
Yes, but only if I have the permission of all clients involved.
Do you need to meet me and my dog first?
Yes, I ask that we set up an in person meeting with both you and your dog(s) ahead of time so we can be sure we’re all comfortable with each other. Contact me to arrange for a meeting.
Do you offer pet sitting or dog boarding services?
Yes. Please see pricing here.
Is my dog walked at the same time every day?
Yes, within a window of about one hour. I will walk your dog(s) as close as possible to the time you specify but depending on my schedule that day (as well as other factors such as traffic) I may have to arrive a bit later or a bit earlier so it is better to think in terms of approximate times rather than exact ones. However, no matter when the walk begins I will always give your dog every minute of the half hour or full hour that you’ve booked.
Safety
Part of our first face-to-face meeting will be familiarizing myself with the harness/ collar and leash that your dog uses. If I see any reason to think it’s not secure enough I will recommend a better one and use one of my own in the meantime. The same goes for any bad weather gear the dog may need such as coats and boots. I do not multitask on the job. When I am with your dogs they will have my full attention. I also have plenty of reflective gear and body lights for evening walks.
Scheduling and Cancelation Policy
You can reschedule or cancel a walk for free up until 8PM on the evening before the scheduled walk. I charge a $5 fee for cancellations and changes after that.
Weather
I walk dogs in all kinds of weather. I always carry plenty of water and a portable bowl to keep all dogs hydrated even in the hottest days of summer. The only way I will ever cancel a walk or cut one short is if I believe the dogs’ physical safety or my own is at risk. This is very rare and only applies to severe weather.
Will you send me pics of my pup?
Yes! I take a photo for every walk and send it as soon as the walk is over to let you know that everything went well.
